Hi Team!  Before I tell you about myself, I need to tell you how blessed I already am to be a part of this team!  My name is Kacie Rife I will be co-leading the trip this summer 🙂   I am 24 and I currently live in Lawrence, KS.  I teach 3rd grade (this is my second year teaching) and we have one more month to go…  I LOVE my students, they have stolen my heart.  I have lived in Kansas all of my life and even though I love God’s world and traveling, Kansas is my home and I love it.  In the summer of 2007 I lived in the Amazon Jungle and did ministry with Jorge (the missionary we will be with).  I was so blessed by his ministry and by the people of the Jungle that I have been praying for Christ to give me the opportunity to return.  Well, it seems that my time has come!  Ok, now let me think… a little about me… well, I enjoy most things, sports, reading, watching movies, etc.   Yet, I would have to say my favorite thing to do is spend time with the people I love.

  1. Hey Kacie, welcome to the team! You seem like you’ll be a great leader for our team and I can’t wait to meet you. It’s pretty cool that you’ve already been to the Amazon, you’ll have to give us some pointers 😉

    Is the town you’re thinking of New Braunfels, Boerne, or San Antonio? Those are all the towns/cities around here…

  2. Hi Kacie! I finally figured this thing out! Yay! I miss you and Aaron. I was telling a friend about our little plane crash deal and hopping up the hill today. She enjoyed the story a lot, the raft one too. Have a great weekend!

  3. hey!!! its so nice to have you join the team :] haha well colo springs was a good guess, we used to live there when my dad taught at the Academy a long time ago, but now we live in the middle of no where on the western slope, and literally MIDDLE OF NO WHERE! haha but the Rockies are practically in my back yard and i love it!
