Hi, my name is Katie. I joined the team right at the end of the deadline so I’m a little behind on my blogging, but SO excited for our trip!! I’m from a small town in northern Indiana. I’m a junior in high school. I have two sisters and one brother-in-law. Um…I like to be outdoors and spend time on the lake, doing water sports and stuff, I enjoy people and I love to experience new things! I’m really excited for the trip because I am excited to be surrounded by a group of strong, encouraging believers, and I’m excited about all the cool things I will be able to experience on this trip. I am afraid of spiders, but I’m gonna try my best in the jungle. My family periodically makes fun of me because I hate spiders yet we’re going to the Amazon Jungle, they love to remind me that the spiders there are like bigger than my head! Anyways, I’m super pumped about this summer and can’t wait to meet you all!

  2. Katie! So glad to have you on our team! I cracked up when I read your profile because I am deathly afraid of snakes (So scared that I can not even look at them in books! haha) and my family gave me such a hard time about going to the jungle the first time I went. And I have to admit I was worried about it too, but while I was there it was crazy because he completely took that fear away! Unfortunately when I returned to the US so did the fear, but I have faith he will do it again! 🙂 I will pray the same happens for you!

  4. Hi Katie! We can be scared of the spiders together. My family teases me about the snakes and spiders in Peru too, I think they really enjoy it. I am so glad you made the deadline and can come with us. I can’t wait to meet you!
